“If there are multiple exams you must take, you will have to choose,”the Court stated.

The Court noted that it was not going to interfere too much in education matters, as lakhs of students will be affected.

“We need to define the limits of our judicial intervention. These students need to put in a lot of work and be prepared. What can we do as a court ,”? The Court dismissed the plea.

The plea sought to quail the July 13 public notice that scheduled NEET on Sunday, September 12, Sunday. This was deemed “manifestly arbitrarily” and in violation Article 14 of Constitution.

Accordingly, the petitioner asked the Court for a direction to move the medical entrance exam to a date that is convenient after the current board/other competitive exams.
